Musical Camp

Hey

I am now doing loads of homework. That is because I am behind because I got back from musical camp yesterday. Camp was loads of fun and I am totally exhausted.

There is not much that I can say without giving away my identity, but I am currently dying from a homework overload. My mum is screaming at me for blogging instead of doing my essay and my computer is about to blow up. It quite literally has smoke coming from it. I had better leave and save my work and turn off my computer before another thing blows up today. And yes I said another.

So... news...

Have you ever had an article of clothing that started falling apart, and then you kept fiddling with it until it fell apart completely? That's what happening to my shoes. I think they're completely kaput.

Also, here's a tip: If you're buying a computer, DON'T buy one of those white Macbooks. Because they get so freaking dirty. I just wasted ten Q-tips and thousands of tissues trying to make mine look less barfed-on.

Just finished a draft for an assignment. It's a busy week in my world but I'm enjoying it so far.

Nerdsplosion

Howdy, y'all.
So, if you've been reading this blog for more than two seconds, you will probably have guessed that the five of us are more than a little nerdy. However, we do maintain a semblance of dignity. Most of the time. But there are times when I simply let my nerdiness control me. This evening is one of those times.

Some of the nerdy things I have been doing include watching Youtube clips of Starkid at Leakycon. When Jim Povolo made a My Little Pony reference, I almost screamed.

I also tried to explain how Youtubers make money to my dad at dinner today. So, that was strange.

So, this is what I've been doing with my time.

Wow I haven't blogged in a while. I am officially an idiot. I tripped over my jeans (which I was wearing) which made me fall down the stairs, and when I got up I walked into a wall. I wish I could do a longer blog, but I need to do homework and my mum is yelling at me to unpack the dishwasher.

Bandwagons

Howdy, y'all.
Rose Jones here filling in for Nira. We've decided that we'll start stepping in whenever someone forgot/is unable to blog. Starting now, I guess.

So, as the title may suggest, I'm thinking about bandwagons a lot. If you're not familiar with the term, what rock do you live under? (Jumping on the bandwagon means getting in to something just because it's cool.)

I've jumped on a bunch of bandwagons recently, and I've been considering jumping off a few.
For example, I finally watched Pirates of the Caribbean the other day. It was worth it.

One bandwagon I've been thinking of jumping off of ((of which I've been thinking of jumping off?)) is the Hunger Games. Don't get me wrong, fan girls and boys. The Hunger Games was a great book. Catching Fire was pretty cool. I really didn't like Mockingjay, but that's only 1/3 of the story.
But now that I've seen some serious HG fanatics, I'm thinking that I don't want HG to be my next Harry Potter.
I should stop typing before I offend someone. DON'T HATE ME GUYS! I just said that I did enjoy the Hunger Games!

Musical Camp is next week. That will disrupt schedules somewhat, as most of us will be away for 3 days. We'll get back to you on that closer to the date.

The Penguin Haters are at it Again.

It seems the Penguin Haters have struck again. Enesti and Zara are both feeling ill, and it really stinks.

Get better, you guys! It's not fun without you!

So, Enesti and I were talking the other day. About My Little Pony, of course! After analyzing the descriptions released for scheduled episodes, we can conclude that we are REALLY EXCITED for the upcoming episodes. Especially the double episode, but all of them look amazing.

I can't believe I'm going back Up There in a month and a half. It's exciting and depressing at the same time. Don't worry! I'll probably keep blogging from Up There.

I am sick. My ears, throat and head hurt. And I am really tired.

I had my braces tightened today. They are now pink and green. So my teeth hurt too.

I feel really bad about having a short post but I haven't got much to say and thinking hurts.

I'm going to clean my teeth and curl up with a book again. With my computer open because I know Enesti will be talking to me.

I Am Disappointed

Hello,

I am disappointed. For many reasons but one in particular. Actually two, the first is the distinct LACK of Apple Jack in MLP. The second is revolving around this blog.

Ok, we started this blog WHEN?? The 16th of September last year.

So, I have 41 blogs, soon to be 42 with this one. Enesti has 35, Hazel has 14 and Nira has 8. We've all been here since the day dot.

We bought Rose in on the 11th of February this year. She has 9 posts.

SO, Nira has been here for about 6 months. Rose has been here for one today. (Speaking of which, congrats on surviving a month). How is it that she has more posts than you Nira? *shakes head sorrowfully*

I'm taking this post here as an opportunity to say this for what I hope will be the last time. Girls, all of you, remember to blog on your days! Even just once a week. It doesn't have to be long, it doesn't have to be serious. Just blog. I know that life is busy so if you need to swap days let me know.  PLEASE BLOG!

Indeed I have. No complaints. I think the next ep is a Fluttershy/Dashie one. Dashie hasn't been around in ages. Although she was around today. :)

I do have complaints. Pinkie Pie is amazing, but they've been relying on her for humour so heavily, that I don't laugh anymore. But Dashie/Fluttershy sounds promising.

Yes I agree they have been relying on her. But she is my favourite so... :)  Yes but I think it is more centered on Fluttershy.

I thought I'd blog today, just cos. On that note,
HA! NIRA! WE'RE EVEN!

So far this weekend, I have slept. A lot. I know, my life is so interesting. I should start a blog or something.

I had a strange moment today when my dad was looking at a worksheet I brought home from SOSE and said that it looked like it was written for a Year 6 student. Sadly, I had to agree.

There was a new MLP episode today. A Twilight one. (Twilight Sparkle, thankyouverymuch.) It was great. Pony Eye patches are amazing.
The downside to this episode was that there was no Dr. Whooves, and Derpy was in the background, un-derpified and depressing. I LOVE YOU, DERPY!

In other news, my family is strange. My mother just called my dad downstairs to help her with something, and he came crawling into the room on his hands and knees.

And people wonder if I was raised by animals...

I am having Fun, fun, fun. Actually I am not but I will be this long weekend. Currently I am packing but this long weekend I am going to the coast and I am going to have Fun, fun, fun. Sorry Zara, I know I was meant to blog yesterday but I am now, so at least I blogged. I watched My Week With Marilyn today. Zara you know that because you were with me. I missed my science test which means that I will have to do it on Tuesday. That sucks. Enesti, was it hard? I need to go now because I have drama but I will blog again.

I don't know how I can follow the Kony 2012 post. I usually just do "lulz mah life iz funneh"- type posts.

(Grammar Nazis: Don't kill me. I was using 'lolcat' for comedic effect. I apologize. But you should know that language is not something that is alive, and therefore I cannot murder it. Think of it like genetic engineering, if you will. I am changing the way people think about language. I'm not defiling it.)

So... how is everyone today? Good? I hope so. I've had quite a nice day. I particularly enjoyed a certain conversation the five of us had today, in which I asked Nira, Hazel, and Zara what colour their feet were.

I'm also only 1 post away from catching up with Nira. Because she's a homeless orphan without computer access. Or something like that. There's a semi-valid excuse in there somewhere.

Kony 2012

There is a man in Africa called Joseph Kony. He is the leader of a rebel group called LRA. They abduct children and make the boys child soldiers, they give them guns and force them to kill their parents and other people. They make them mutilate other people's faces. They turn the girls into sex slaves. Joseph Kony has been operating for over 20 years now. No one knew because no one cared. But people found out and they want to stop him. The idea is to help the Ugandans hunt him down and bring him to justice. He is number one on the list of most wanted war criminals.

We can make a difference, we can stop him. And we can do it this year. On the 20th of April from when the sun goes down to when the sun comes up an event called Cover the Night is happening. Normal people, people who don't know who he is will go to bed. But people who want to stop Kony will be up. Posters, banners, stickers, every form of media you can think of will be out and up. Everyone will wake up to posters about Kony. We're making him famous. Not because he should be celebrated but so that people know who he is and so that the US government doesn't pull their advisers out and stop the whole process. With any luck, other governments will get on board too.

So I, Enesti the Extremely Extraordinarily Epic, am posting our 100th post!!!!!
I like alliteration if you hadn't picked that up...

So last weekend there was an episode of My Little Pony... WHICH WAS AMAZING!!!!
*sigh* I love Fluttershy...

So today we were sitting in the year ten courtyard and someone said that they were making plans... Rose elaborated by quoting a song from one of our favourite shows: A Very Potter Sequel.
"We are making evil plans. Zara you're an evil man-" to which we all promptly burst out laughing while i ran around the table and gave Rose a hug... Man those guys crack me up.

Oh... We have started to design our new background for the blog. It's looking awesome and SHOULD be done by the end of the week, if not it will be up soon after the start of next week. :D

Um... I don't think there is heaps to say... I've started watching all the StarWars movies again. Only 2 left to watch.

Ow, typing hurts, I shut my fingers in the drawer earlier. And I am extremely unhappy with gmail at the moment, overnight they threw out the fabulous old look that I know and love and dragged in some dog's breakfast of a thing to replace. It's going to take weeks to get used to, even timeline's not that confusing.

Hmm, what else is happening?

Ummm, I'm creating a retaurant for an assignment. It's called La chèvre arc en ciel, I'll let you figure it out for yourselves.


Anyway, I'm off to do important things. Not that blogging isn't important but I need to do some other stuff too.

Sorry that I have not been posting. I am currently brain dead, I have just finished my science assignment that I only started yesterday. It is wet outside and I went for a walk thismorning. Stupid idea as my feet are still frozen.
I am typing on new laptop and if I do say so my self it is pretty coon. Then again it is my first laptop so I have nothing to compare it to.
I am Very sorry Zara that I did not blog and I promise I will do it next week when I am suposed to.

In case you hadn't noticed, it rained all week. The swimming carnival was supposed to be today, but it got canceled.

I already told this to Zara, but may I point out that I have never missed a day, in all my four-ish weeks of being a part of this shenanigan?

Yesterday was March 1st. All day, I had this weird feeling in the back of my head. Like it was somebody's birthday and I'd forgotten who. Well, it turns out that it actually was someone's birthday. Someone really important. Happy late birthday, Ron Weasley!

Today, we put more My Little Ponies in *censored teacher's name*'s pigeon box. I look forward to his reaction on Monday.

Also, this week's episode of MLP is a FLUTTERSHY!!!!!
