Thrill Points #1: Let's Luge

There will be many of these posts today. But before I start, I'm turning my music off repeat....

Ok, that problem out of the way, onwards. First lot of points comes from Luge!

So, when we were in NZ, we stayed in Rotorua overnight. One of the things we did was this:

First of all, you wait in line for a long time, then you get onto the gondolas, which take you all the way up the hill and you get this amazing view. Then you find a helmet which fits you (mine was too big) and then stand in line again. Then you finally get on the luges. If you are going on it for the first time you have to take the crash course in luging and go on the scenic route. This was no worry to me because I freak out when I try to do something like this for the first time. Once they deemed you capable you got a kiwi stamp on your hand and were sent off down the hill. It was so much fun but I fear I was going a little to slow. Once you reach the bottom you drag your luge into the waiting bay and stand in another line. In this line you wait to get on the chair lift. Each chair lift carries two people and two luges. The chair lift was cool but woe be tidy if you took your helmet off. Anyway once we got back to the top we lined up in the non-beginners line because we had paid for two rides. This time I went down the intermediate route with my mum and my brother and dad went down the advanced route, no surprises there. This route was even better than the last one and I went faster. There was an almost drop which was awesome. Once at the bottom we got back on the chairlift and rode back up to the top. Then we got back on the gondolas and went back to the bottom.

Luging is heaps of fun and you should try it. The luges there are different because they have handlebars and are easier to control than the ones here ( in Canberra).

So, how many points here? Can I count the luge and chairlift separately? (Why do I doubt that?). Comment and let me know.

Love Zara
