Bubbles

Howdy y'all.
I couldn't think of a good title.

So, I've had basically the best two weeks of my life. First I found out that Speedy is not only feeling better, but that I could start leasing him. And then I did start leasing him and I rode him on Wednesday and oh my goodness... *takes a moment to enjoy the horsey goodness*

Also, the Supreme Court of the USA passed some major components of Obamacare, and it looks like the US is going to have universal healthcare soon. Not to get too political or anything, but I'm glad we are. For more details, read any American political blog.

Anyways, I'm still enjoying my holiday. I'm going to New York tomorrow, and I'll be gone for a few days. (Not sure how much Internet I'll be having, girls. Sorry.)

Good luck to all of the Musical people!

Best Wishes,
Rose

Excuse Me While I Fall Asleep

Hi

It's muscial week here. I'm at school. I should actually be taking a nap. And now that I am finished my science work I'm blogging.

The interent at my house is dead. I feel like I have been hit by a truck. I even have the bruises to prove it!

But in all seriousness muscial was amazing last night. Four shows left! The amount of energy last night was awesome! You could almost fell it in the air.

Right, I'm off to take a nap on the library couches now because I have band next and I don't think my head can cope with loud music. Nira and I are going to be VERY quiet in English today.

Musical may be fun, but now I am BORED!!

Hey all readers,

I just had musical and it was fun. Stressful with all the people talking backstage but fun and Energetic. Now I am home though and am so bored. I am sitting in my room blogging because I can while I should be doing homework. Whitch is why I am going now although I would love to have a longer blog.

Peace Out
Hazel.

Oh, who cares about schedules?

Howdy y'all.

When did this blog become "Rose and Zara talk about themselves?" Because that's sort of what it is.
Anyways, almost 200 posts now. Good job girls. Mostly Zara, but it was definitely a team effort.

And now for Rose Talks About Herself! Yay!
So, my week so far has basically consisted of biking back and forth between my writing class, my Spanish tutoring, and home. My writing class is the most hipster place I've ever been. Actually, not THE most hipster place. But it's pretty hipster.
My Spanish tutoring sucks. I dislike the Spanish language.
Home is hot. We don't have air conditioning. And it is very very humid right now. My cat sitting on me is not helping.
Excuse me I have homework to do. Yes, homework on summer holiday.
Best Wishes!

Dinosaurs and Veterinary Science

Hello

I'm watching a show called Lost Worlds: T-rex, Warrior or Wimp? Apparently, the T-rex is actually a scavenger, who occasionally killed. It's quite interesting, apparently it would have had a very different way of hunting because of it's very short front arms.

I'm also looking into universities that offer vet science. There are 7 in the country, I am not going to WA, so I have 6 to choose from. It's a competitive place to be. Now before you freak out because I'm not even at college yet, I'm looking at what courses I have to do to go where so that I know what classes I should take next year! So keep your socks on.

Anyway, I'm off to write my English story.

Animules

Howdy y'all.
Today, I'm going to the zoo. Again. I've been to the zoo twice in the past month. Why is it that the only free attraction near my school is the freaking zoo? Well, there's the park, but that's not good for much except picnics and riding my bike. And there's the pool, but it's five dollars to get in. So I'm going to the zoo.
I'm going with a friend who actually works at the zoo. She tells me all sorts of hilarious zoo facts. Like the zoo owns three sloths. Two of them you can go and see, and one of them lives behind-the-scenes because he was a bit too. *ahem* sexually active in front of small children. Repeatedly.

Anyways, the animal-ness of my day does not stop there. I am going to ride a horse this evening. Yippee!!!! (And no, Speedy is not feeling better. He's been injured basically since I went Down There and he's still not better! Grrrrrrr....)

BUT WAIT! There's more! I'm catsitting this weekend for two different families.

Also, Someone remind me to sleep with my door closed. My cats kept waking me up this morning. It was like playing cat-pinball, honestly. I would be asleep, minding my own business, when a cat would leap onto my bed and stick his nose in my ear. So then I'd push the cat off, and they'd come back and wuffle my face, so I'd push him off the bed, and he's come back. Repeat for fifteen minutes until he gave up. Then, an hour later, he's be back.

So yeah. That's my life. Animals.

I leave you with a quote from Tamora Pierce (Side-note: ENESTI NIRA ZARA HAZEL REEEAAADDD TAMORA PIERCE! THAT'S AN ORDER!)

Anyways, the quote:
"So this is what I've come to. Following little birdies."
-Lord Sir Raul of Goldenlake and Malorie's Peak, 'First Test' by Tamora Pierce.

Come on you guys, you have to read her!

Best Wishes,
Rose

Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans

Also known as "Zara got bored and changed the background"

Not even the mini me's are helping. They ran off to more interesting places.

*smacks head on keyboard* SO FLIPPING BORED!! And my friend has chocolate cake. It's not fair *sulks*

Hmm, might go and attempt to read a book to bust the boredom. Wish me luck, if I don't end up at school tomorrow, it's because I died of boredom.

Short and Sweet

Okies, two things for you today before I go back to my new magazine!

I have a new word that I created with my mum while we were talking about fashion. I went to say horrible, was thinking atrocious and I said hotrocious. It describes some of the stuff we see.

Second, the woman who had her baby eaten by a dingo in 1980 was proven innocent today. Everyone thought she killed her daughter, who was 9 weeks old and she was sentenced to life in gaol. But she was let out 6 years later when a piece of Azaria's clothing was found in Dingo territory. There was another court case in '95 which was declared an open finding. Today, 32 years after the baby died, the Coroner found that Azaria was killed by a dingo and her mother was declared innocent. This case was so stalked about that my mum, who was 11 at the time, knows about it.  It's been a big day for the justice system.

Alright, I'm off now.

Summer

Howdy y'all.
Today, I shall educate you about the joys (and terrors) of summertime Up Here. Why? Because school got out for me yesterday. No more classes until September!

So, Up Here, we have this thing called Summer Camp. *begins talking in fake Texas accent* Now, y'all Down Under have camps, but not like we do. Summer camps are usually themed: Horse Camp or Music Camp or Language Camp (I do German Camp.) Some kids go to Bible Camp or Genius Camp or Computer Programming Camp or Debate Camp. I've even heard of a Torah Camp. Sometimes, it's just an everyday Summer Camp (a la 'Parent Trap'). That's less common now. When my dad was little, he went to "Kids-whose-parents-are-socialists" camp. That doesn't happen at all anymore. My friend goes to a camp that seems to be all about going on week-long canoe trips all around the state.

Anyways, you go away from home for a week, two weeks, a month, or more. You sleep in cabins with a bunch of other kids your age. There are councilors, usually 17-or-older young people who went to the camp as kids, and now have extra responsibilities. You eat with the rest of the camp, and all day long you do whatever you're there to do. (Speak French, learn how to DJ, ride horses, canoe, whatever.) It's the best time in the world.

Here's the terror about Summer where I live: THE BLOODY MOSQUITOES. I have SEVENTEEN bites on my torso, arms, legs, and feet. And 1) I live in the city. For now. 2) It's only about two weeks into the heat 3) Two of them have bled from me itching them. That's how badly I react. Wait until Summer Camp, when I go to the North Woods.

It is now officially Friday here. (If anyone even THINKS about that song, I will shoot lasers at you through the internet.)

You're thinking about it, aren't you?
Well, okay. I lied. I can't shoot lasers through the internet. Darn.

Best Wishes!
Rose.

Well Hello

Hi Everyone,

I'm blogging today because I know I will probably forget tomorrow.

So today I went to the ACT Cross Country. I ran the whole way and overtook someone in the last 100 metres. I came about 23rd, I don't know exactly because it's a mixed age race. It was lots of fun and it was my last cross country carnival. So that made a pretty good day.

I had French class this afternoon. Next lesson, in two weeks because of the public holiday, we get to make crepes! Did I mention I love my class?

On the topic of French, I'll be spending my evenings filling out forms and writing letters this week so I can go away at the end of the year. It's testing my French skills and my ability to describe myself. I am very excited. It's going to be totally awesome.

It's too cloudy outside to see the partial Lunar Eclipse so I am not happy about that. We would have been able to see the Earth's shadow go across the face of the moon. C'est ne pas juste!!

I'm off now.

Have a good week Beautiful People.

Cannot...speak..type...whatever...ugh...

Howdy y'all.
So, there's cool stuff happening in my life right now, so here is an update.

So, number one is my horse, Speedy. He's still unwell, but he seems to be cheerful and I'm gonna see him this evening and I love him very much. So yeah.

Number two are my cats. One of them is sitting on my lap right now purring and being orange.

Number three is the internet. Charlie McDonnell posted a new video and it is awesome, as usual. Alex Day released awesome music. And there's a new episode of Job Hunters, which is great.

Number four is summer. Believe it or not, my school is almost over, and soon I will have three months of freedom. I will be going to New York in about a month, so that happened.

So, oddly enough, I'm having this strange problem in which I cannot be eloquent, no matter how I try. You can tell, can't you? It's like I'm thinking in fragments.

Anyways, I'll have to end this before I embarrass myself.
Best Wishes
Rose
