Howdy y'all.
Today, I'm going to the zoo. Again. I've been to the zoo twice in the past month. Why is it that the only free attraction near my school is the freaking zoo? Well, there's the park, but that's not good for much except picnics and riding my bike. And there's the pool, but it's five dollars to get in. So I'm going to the zoo.
I'm going with a friend who actually works at the zoo. She tells me all sorts of hilarious zoo facts. Like the zoo owns three sloths. Two of them you can go and see, and one of them lives behind-the-scenes because he was a bit too. *ahem* sexually active in front of small children. Repeatedly.
Anyways, the animal-ness of my day does not stop there. I am going to ride a horse this evening. Yippee!!!! (And no, Speedy is not feeling better. He's been injured basically since I went Down There and he's still not better! Grrrrrrr....)
BUT WAIT! There's more! I'm catsitting this weekend for two different families.
Also, Someone remind me to sleep with my door closed. My cats kept waking me up this morning. It was like playing cat-pinball, honestly. I would be asleep, minding my own business, when a cat would leap onto my bed and stick his nose in my ear. So then I'd push the cat off, and they'd come back and wuffle my face, so I'd push him off the bed, and he's come back. Repeat for fifteen minutes until he gave up. Then, an hour later, he's be back.
So yeah. That's my life. Animals.
I leave you with a quote from Tamora Pierce (Side-note: ENESTI NIRA ZARA HAZEL REEEAAADDD TAMORA PIERCE! THAT'S AN ORDER!)
Anyways, the quote:
"So this is what I've come to. Following little birdies."
-Lord Sir Raul of Goldenlake and Malorie's Peak, 'First Test' by Tamora Pierce.
Come on you guys, you have to read her!
Best Wishes,
Rose
